Outside my door...Spring has sprung

I shared my hydrangea bush before it totally bloomed. NOW look! Just outside my door. I can't believe how much it has sprouted and it still has some sprouting to go. I don't like when they begin dying. Then it looks so sad. But I can enjoy this beauty for a little while.

Then there are the lilies growing out of a sad, sad looking plant. And look what I found at Michael's. Couldn't resist. At least these ones won't die.

Diabetes, fatty liver, high cholesterol

If I knew more about these health issues I might be feeling scared right now. First, I don't know if I even have any of these problems; still doing testing. I should know more in the next week or so. Right now I feel more in a fog. But the more I hear from others who have the same issues or know of someone with the same issues, the more I realize "this is serious business." I have been trying to work on my health here and there, but not enough to really see any results, especially in losing weight. The gym once or twice a week, drink more water, less fast food (hoping to cut that out entirely, unless it's Subway or something like that), and walking. These have been goals and I keep trying to be consistent, but when you've been out of those elements for so long, it's hard to begin again. This has to be my wake up call as my daughter stated.

My friend, Lisa, gave me a calendar, "Renewing the Heart" that has "spiritual refreshments for each new day". I happened to have it open to April 20th...don't know why because I've been pretty good about flipping it over each day. But it just seems so appropriate:

"A life change is not always easy; but then, God doesn't always want to
make it easy for us, for it's in those stressful times that
we grow closer to Him. Sometimes God allows us to go
through an experience for the powerful lessons
we could learn no other way."
Susan Miller, After the Boxes are Unpacked

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 (NIV)

And even if my health is better than presumed, I still have the chance to change things towards the better and that gives me peace.

What Now?

I took a break from blogs, Facebook, basically the computer for a time. Now that I'm out of that break time, I still haven't been back on as regularly as I used to be, except FB. I'm coming to the conclusion, that maybe I'll just do everything on FB so I don't have to go from one to the other to the other. I can't come up with anything to really blog about, although I do have pics from Laura's wedding, but it's so easy to upload on FB.

I don't know...I'll just have to see if once I'm more settled again (trips are coming up here and there through June), if I'll have things to blog about. I will most definitely come and read blogs of friends and friends of friends, but not sure how much I'll be doing. I love reading and seeing how people are doing and catching up on things, so I will read other blogs.

Soooo, for now, this blog will be silent. Unless something comes up that I really want to post. I love writing, so we'll see what happens.

Thanks for reading, the few of you who do. love and hugs

HAPPY 27th TO MY OLDEST

27 years ago in Stillwater Community Hospital, Columbus, MT, Liz was born. What a joy she has been and still is. So proud of her as she seeks to get her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She works hard and stresses about it, but she gets the job done. She's almost done. You can make it, Liz. You've gone this far and I know you'll finish out. Here are some fun pics of our girl.

Does anyone else have problem putting in and arranging the pictures? Any hints?

Spring is Springing

Spring is definitely here. These are the first flowers on my hydrangea bush. There have been little blooms for awhile, but I just noticed these the other day. So nice to see green instead of brown.
